Etheos, 2059

The world is in a global economic meltdown the likes of which has never been seen. Etheos, a country supported by trade between Europe and North America, has been hit the hardest. Previously a bustling, modern metropolitan country, it is now reduced to bankruptcy and beggary on the world stage, its population reduced to crime and starvation.
In a frantic last-ditch attempt to save the country and save as many citizens as possible, the Etheos Government dissolved Law Enforcement, Military, and other governmental units and formed the Etheos Protection Force (EPF), which protect the Occupied Metropolitan Enclosures (OME). See below for more information on both.

Etheos Protection Force
The Etheos Protection Force is a Government-formed protection body intended to protect the citizens of the OMEs at all costs.
The EPF is certainly not there to oppress or suppress the population of the Cities. It is there to protect the general population at any cost. However, this means that some citizens must be removed from the general population, for the greater good, by any means that are appropriate.
EPF Officers are kept anonymous to protect them while off-duty.
The EPF's motto is Salus populi suprema lex esto. It is Latin for "Let the welfare of the people be the supreme law."

Occupated Metropolitan Enclosures
The OMEs were rapidly built as sprawling hives of population in an effort to hold as many people as possible. Many are rife with crime, pollution and poverty, but still offer a better life than on the outside where the Government does not care for.
Citizens are encouraged to come to the OMEs where they can be protected.
City 11

City 11 is a dark, dank OME packed to the brim and cramped with citizens. It's terrible weather and dark nature gives it a downbeat, depressed nature.

The Outside World
The Government has all but forgotten about the outside world. It's currently unknown what the situation is aside from reports from new citizens joining OMEs.
The outside is a barren place, the complete opposite of the packed OMEs. The people that roam the outside world may be anything from traders, to bandits, to people simply not wishing to go into the packed hives of the Cities.

Economy
The global economy is in tatters. However, credits still do hold a relative value for the time at least, however their value has dropped considerably. However, trading of valuable items is popular.
